Clubs Optimistic Over Potential Of New Lothian Set-Up

A proposed East Lothian League involving Saturday and Sunday clubs has already produced excitement and optimism during the current Tier-4 restrictions. Operating under the LEAFA structure, I understand 11 clubs would be involved with a mixture of Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon games.

There has already been a great deal of positivity within Social Media and, although there is still some fine-tuning to be carried out and officially announced by LEAFA, Clubs would hope to start around the middle of January (or before) if current Government legislation is eased.

Firmly in the camp of “LET US PLAY” are Wallyford Bluebell, Tranent Amateurs and Haddington Town. I dare say other clubs involved feel the same way!
