Six Sections will form the basis of the Scottish Amateur Football League Centenary Cup (Group Stage) for the season ahead – and there will be no lack of match action or goals having studied those competing from Saturday, 14th August, writes Tom Scott.

And according to Stephen, fixtures are due to be scheduled shortly.
The six Section winners, and two best placed runners up will progress to the Quarter Finals.
Having put the Jimmy Marshall Summer Cup in their trophy cabinet, Arthurlie FC Amateurs will be striving to reach the knock-out stages at the expense of Castlemilk OBC – ironically the team they defeated 2-0 in the Marshall Cup Final at Glasgow Green – Easthall Star and Kings Park Rangers in Section 3.

SECTION 2 – Baljaffray, Duncanrig FP, Hillington, Rutherglen.
Section 4 – Claremont, Dunoon, Port Glasgow Amateurs, St Convals.
Section 5 – Busby, Cardross, Glynhill Moorcroft, Lochgilphead Red Star.
Section 6 – Carlton YMCA, Neilston, Port Glasgow OBU, Tarbert.
