The Strathclyde Saturday Morning Amateur Football League Management Committee have unanimously approved the use of the new WE.SOCCER phone app, for use in their set-up, writes Tom Scott.
The referees also unanimously agreed with its introduction, and a 2-year deal has been signed.
For the teams, the app will have all your registered players, and it will do all the team lines, thus removing the use of paper.
The same for the refs, they can use the app during the game to detail all events, Goals, subs, yellow and red cards.
At the end of the game, the ref simply pushes the end game tab, and the leagues website will automatically update the results and tables.
The League had looked at previous opportunities to introduce such an app, but the WE.SOCCER App has really made the decision an easy one.
It means that they can use less paper, less postage, and the speedo information is immediate.
