Said Cammy: “We celebrated one of Beechwood’s finest men with the Blair McLennan Testimonial.”

“The main event was Beechwood’s present (red) vs Beechwood’s Past (black).”

“In what was a great turn out on Sunday, for a man who has done literally everything at the football club.”

“Beechwood present got off to a flyer in the game, scoring inside 30 seconds.”

“Brothers Ben and Ryan Innes passed their way through the Beechwood’s past defence. which left Ryan Innes through 1vs1. His first effort smashed against the cross bar, but calm as ever he finished off the rebound into the corner.”

“Everyone ran to celebrate with Ryan, and he was proud as punch to score in such a big game.”

“The game was played in good spirits with both sides using the most of the subs in what was a brilliant Sunday afternoon.”

“Cammy Fairweather made it 2-0 with a first-time finish after the cut back from Kyle Wishart.”

“Both teams had chances to score, notably when a penalty was given to the Black team.”

“Blair stepped up but seen his effort saved (someone didn’t give Ben the memo to let it in).”

“The red team made it 3-0 after the restart, good play again on the right by Kyle Wishart found Kyle Allison in the box and he tapped home from close range.”

“The moment everyone was waiting for came after another penalty was given, and Blair, who changed teams at half time, confidently stepped up and buried the ball into the net. 4-0.”

“Beechwood Reds scored their 5th, when Gregor Dawson cut in from the left and unleashed a top strike into the stop right hand corner from outside the area.”

“It was 6-0 when Kyle Allison again scored, after good play in the middle of the park.”

“The final goal of the game came again from that man Ryan Innes, who only just came back on as a substitute. He collected the ball in midfield and skipped past a few of the black teams’ players and again finished with confidence into the corner.”
