Former Champs Held In Friendly Draw

What a difference having your goalkeeper and regular defenders back in the team can make, writes Tom Scott.

Glasgow Elim Football Club Manager/ Coach (sometimes player) Stuart Syme admitted as much after their super 2-2 draw against former Church League champions Motherwell Kings.

He said: “We were 2-1 up at half-time with goals from Paul Keys and Danny Vernal.”

“Four changes were made at half-time saw us lose rhythm and concede! It was a high-tempo game, good quality – if I am honest.”

“A draw was fair.”

“We could have been ahead in the first 45 minutes, but hung on in the second.!!”

Stuart also revealed exclusively to Scottish Amateur Football News their new kits.

“Here is a picture, Tom.”
