FC Southside United: Taking Shape Under New Management

Manager Kenny MacKay and Assistant Manager Brian Dornan have started the job of re-shaping GDSFC League outfit, FC Southside United, writes Tom Scott.

The pair took over from Derek Johnston last month. Said Brian “Jack Devlin, aged 20, played as a trialist on Sunday.”

“Not sure if it was from your article that he got in contact (with us) or not!”

“Jack played for Seafar Under-18/ Under-19, and Barrhill Amateurs for a while.”

“We played against East Kilbride United. Lost 6-1, but the boy stood out and will be a great addition to FC Southside United.”

“He can play on the wings, in centre mid, and in defensive midfield as well.”

“Great touch and vision game was played at Bothwell Haugh, Strathclyde Park.”

FC Southside United have also signed Christopher O’Connor (ex-Albion Rovers), and a Scottish Cup winner with Cranhill United according to Brian, who also added: “Huge talent of a player as well.”
