They only started to feature on the Scottish Amateur Football News pages this week, but already Beechwood Albion AFC have adopted the “buzz” word, writes Tom Scott.
The Stirling and District League First Division Club, sponsored by King Robert Hotel (Stirling), initially contacted me with a report about their first friendly (4-1) win against Linlithgow Rose Community Football Club.
Goals from captain Michael Easton (2), Hamish Watt and Willie McLean.
Secretary Cammy Fairweather has not been slow supplying more items including a call for local people to approach them, and join as Committee Members.
Said Cammy: “Many thanks from all at Beechwood Albion.”
“The boys are buzzing!”
“It’s very much appreciated, Tom.”
I will be reporting on a Testimonial Game (fast approaching), and I hear the Club players and their Gaffer would like to participate in my Big Interview Series.
At a time when leagues out there should be promoting themselves – including the Stirling and District – we are only too happy to provide the publicity platform at Scottish Amateur Football News.
Thanks also to Cammy Fairweather for providing the graphic on their main sponsor, King Robert Hotel (Stirling).
