Caledonian League: William Turner Challenge Cup (Groups 1 to 4)

Great action from Challenge Cup last Saturday – some twists and turns have still to emerge, writes Tom Scott.

First defeat for previous Group 2 leaders St Joseph’s AFC.

St Mungo’s and Glasgow Harp can’t be split in Group 1.

Dunblane, with a game in hand, have a big fixture looming against second-placed Callander Thistle.

Group 4 front-runners Giffnock North look set, it would appear, to see off Dalziel HSFP, who lie second but are four-points adrift

Results:

Group 1 –
Holytown Colts 0, St Mungo’s 3,
Milngavie Wanderers 1, Glasgow Harp 2.

Group 2 –
St Joseph’s 1, Dumbarton Academy FP AFC 2,
Thorn Athletic 4, Rhu Amateur FC 0.

Group 3 –
Stirling University 2, Callander Thistle 2.

Group 4 –
Dalziel HSFP 0, East Kilbride YM FC 3, Eaglesham 0, Giffnock North 4.
