St Joes Rocked By Triple Injury Cup Blow

St Joseph’s AFC have paid a hefty price for Wednesday’s battling 2-2 draw against Dumbarton Academy FP AFC in their William Turner Challenge Cup section, writes Tom Scott.

Three players were crocked – including Club Captain Kieran Boyce (hamstring) who limped off after 10 minutes – and have no chance of facing visitors Rhu Amateurs today (Saturday).

Manager Adjie MacColl admitted: “The three injuries are to players who were certain to feature on our team lines.”

“Wednesday against the Accies produced a great atmosphere at the Common. We trailed 2-1 (Davie Seagrave netted for us) before Cammy Harkins scored the 90th minute equaliser direct from a corner after we hit the bar minutes before.”

“It was a great game to watch and all things considered, a decent result for us.”
