St. Joes Squad Heading For The Beach

A change of scenery is good for everyone – in a footballing sense it can mean hard work, writes Tom Scott.

This Saturday, St Joseph’s AFC players will head to Erskine Beach in the latest part of their back-to-training work.

St Joes Boss Alastair MacColl told me: “We have had seven-eight excellent sessions and the turn outs have been great.

“Erskine Beach will be a wee change for them. Its all about preparing for the William Turner Cup clash against Dumbarton Academy FP AFC on 19th May.”

It will be a busy few months for the Caledonian League First Division Club – fully intent on promotion – and celebrating 50 years.

This week’s sponsorship news and tie-up with Rainton Construction Scotland – bought to you exclusively by myself after speaking with Neil McCallum at their Kirkintilloch base – is another huge step towards raising their profile even further.
