Greenock High Under-21 Player Pathway Pays Dividends

Greenock High School FP AFC Manager Colin McEachnie has revealed their Under 21 Player Pathway has proved to be a huge success as they await games commencing in the Spark of Genius Central Scottish League, writes Tom Scott.

Colin was heavily involved in coaching the HSFP Under 21 team which won a West of Scotland Youth League title three years ago.

An average attendance of 16 players have been making themselves available for start-back training sessions and Colin said “We have a squad of 22 players and no fewer than 13 have come through from our Under 21s.”

“To take so many through from that level into amateur football has been massive for us.”

“You could say we are seeing the fruits of having and Under 21 squad.”

Nock have added experience to their preparations by bringing in centre back Stuart Higgins from Greenock Juniors. Stuart previously won the West of Scotland Amateur Cup with Greenock High School FP AFC.
