Manager Sean Kenney has revealed seven excellent projects Kilbride Thistle AFC are keen to promote has drawn an amazing response, writes Tom Scott.
There are seven different categories which would require volunteers, and I outlined them all in my Feature on 30th March.
The list reads as follows:
1. Social Media / YouTube Team.
2. A Charity Team.
5. Expansion of Sports Science.
6. Physiotherapy Department.
7. General Committee Members.
He said: “The response has been amazing.”
“We want the best teams on the park, and the best people involved off the park.”
“Garry Oakley has been appointed Assistant Manager of the new team coming on board. I know Garry from playing alongside and against. He will be terrific for the Club, and is big on developing player potential.”
“I have spoken to people about our Social Media platforms, and also two Scouts.”
“We could do with a couple of more scouts as we want to build a Player Data base where potential signings for any part of the Club can be identified.”
“Another idea is a Scout will go and watch opponents the week before we play them.”
“If we draw Glasgow-based team, I will have people who can run the rule over them and give us a full rundown.”
Kilbride will also increase Community Support.
Sean added: “You could call this part a Charity Department”
“We have been involved in Charity work in the past. Now we will identify partner, and try to help local Charities.”
“Give something back to those needing help.”
“A great many have been hit financially as a result of the pandemic.”
