Manager Liam Urquhart has exclusively revealed the inside story on newcomers to the LEAFA Saturday League ranks, writes Tom Scott.
Liam will guide their progress alongside his brother Sean, who is Head Coach.
He revealed: “We founded the Club just as the pandemic started, so it was probably, not the best timing to start an Amateur team. However, it allowed us plenty of time to get organised with Kits, Sponsors and Fund-Raising etc.”
“The reason we started the Club was to have another Social Outlet during the week for our core group of friends, and it has grown from there.”
“We aim to compete at our highest level possible, and create memories for our players to look back on fondly in years to come, as we believe this is what football is all about.”
“We have Partick Thistle striker Zak Rudden helping us out with Coaching, but due to current Covid restrictions and his schedule, he has not been able to get along to training.”
Many thanks. Liam for his story. Although Restalig are new to the Amateur game, it is great to hear they have already made progress with the help of Coaches, Players, Family and Friends.
We wish them well moving forward.
