Rovers Player- Manager Praises Squad Character And Commitment

Scott Perry today heaped on GDSFC newcomers Renfrew Rovers after they added start-back sessions alongside previously demanding challenges, writes Tom Scott.

He said: “The guys started back Non-Contact Training as of last weekend.”

“We also ran various Challenges to keep guys ticking over throughout the Lockdown – 20k ran in 4 weeks minimum. A wee test of Character and Commitment for them.”

“Numbers have been healthy for the first 2 weeks of training, with us at the 15 maximum. Really impressed with the application and the desire amongst the guys to give the sessions their all.”

“Still looking to add 1 or 2 players, and the emphasis on another goalkeeper to challenge for the Number 1 spot with Logan. “

“We cannot wait to get back to a more familiar set-up with less limitations on sessions and eventually getting back to games. Really looking forward to the new season – it’s been a long time coming.”
