Variation Key To Carluke Training Resumption

Carluke Thistle AFC President Scott Parry has revealed a variation in floodlight Non-Contact Training sessions has been essential in resuming after a lengthy spell, writes Tom Scott.

He said: “Tom, the sessions have been great.”

“Full attendances as expected, and just nice to see the lads back at it – all be it rather rusty!”

“We just need to keep doing the Non-Contact stuff to build up the fitness and get used to the ball again.”

Thistle, who have still to kick a competitive football in the GGPAFL, are poised for a change in training scenery.

Scott added: “We have a Socially Distance Circuit/ Fitness session arranged for this morning (Saturday) with Lanark Boxing Club Coach Darren Armstrong.”

“Hopefully a few of the boys will get out of their beds for that as well, and we will start seeing improvements in due course.”
