FULL NAME and POSITION (S) PLAYED AT KILWINNING AFC?

“Connor Finnie – (RB)(CDM)(CB)(Captain).”

WHEN DID YOU SIGN FOR KILWINNING AFC, AND WHAT IS THE ATTRACTION PLAYING FOR THEM?

“July, 2019. Kilwinning were a new team with great ambition to become bigger and better, and a had a good core of players.”

“The Dressing Room is a very tight knit group, and we all want to win for each other. This also gives way to a good friendly atmosphere.”

“Mick and Garry have also set us up to play a great style of play , always wanting to attack which is great to be involved with.”

WON ANY HONOURS WITH PREVIOUS CLUBS?

“Wayne Bannerman Cup with Irvine CSC.”

WHAT IS YOUR BEST MEMORY PLAYING FOR KILWINNING TO DATE?

“Our 5-3 win in the Scottish against Holytown stands out. We went down to 10 men after 20 minutes, and conceded 2 quick goals, but we found the drive to pick ourselves up and grab another couple, which was a great feeling and team effort.”

WHAT IS THE BEST PRANK/ WIND-UP YOU HAVE WITNESSED AT TRAINING OR DURING PRE-MATCH INVOLVING A PLAYER?

“It is not pre match or training, but we went on a team night out and said to our Goalie, big Sam, that it was a suited and booted night.”

“All the boys showed up in normal clothes, and there is Sam in what looked like his dad’s suit.”

GIVE US AN INSIGHT INTO THE MANAGEMENT STYLE OF MICK HOWIE?

“Mick likes to play an expansive type of football. He always wants to attack when in possession, and go and express ourselves. When we lose the ball, he really likes us to go and press, and win the ball back as high as possible. He also isn’t afraid for us to be a physical side, and doesn’t want us to back down to anything put in front of us.”
