Tollcross Experience Vital In Scottish Cup

There is no substitute for experience – and Tollcross Thistle AFC have that quality in abundance, writes Tom Scott.

Several players have featured at international level, and since the onset of Covid-19 the LEAFA Premier Division club were left wondering if their run to the Semi-Finals of the Scottish Amateur Cup would be in vain after a 2-0 Quarter-Final Replay win against East Kilbride YM FC at the Oriam on 7th March.

Pictured are defender Hamish Flett (number 14) and Number 10 midfielder Stewart O’ Neill, who Thistle Manager Alan McKay tells me is the all-time scorer at Tollcross.
