Colleges’ League Club Start New Manager Search (Springburn Thistle AFC)

Springburn Thistle have started looking for a new Manager and ideally the candidate should have a good knowledge of Amateur Football, writes Tom Scott. Thistle play in the Glasgow Colleges Football Association on a Saturday Morning, and are looking to fill the vacancy created by the departure of Ian Kennedy.

Secretary Craig McClymont revealed: “We are looking for a new Manager – someone who knows the amateur game.”

“We are a team that has lost our way in the past couple of seasons, but need someone to get us going again!”

“Apart from those two seasons, we have been in Semi- Finals, and always up there challenging for titles.”

“We have our own 1st class facilities at Loretto on grass. Training is Monday and Thursday. We train there up until October, and then we move to Winter Lets.”

“The guys are all kitted out with the best of stuff, and nothing but the best when it comes to looking after the players. “

“All backroom stuff is done by myself , so the new Management team can focus solely on the football side of things.”

“We have a core of bodies which would be in a starting 11 every week.”

“New players are always welcome at the club.”
