When did you sign for Bellgrove, and what the attraction in playing for them?

“SIGNED FOR BELLGROVE FEBRUARY 2017. I HAD BEEN HEAD HUNTED BY THE MANAGER FOR 3 SEASONS, BUT MY TEAM AT THE TIME CASTLEBRAES FOLDED, AND OPENED THE DOOR FOR ME TO JOIN UP MID-SEASON.”

Won any honours?

“DIVISION 3 WINNER SEASON 2019-2020. CAPTAIN PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2020”

What is your best-ever memory playing for Bellgrove?

“BEST MEMORY FOR ME WAS SCORING THE WINNER IN THE FIRST LEAGUE GAME AGAINST EAST KILBRIDE,AFTER LOSING A GOOD FRIEND IN BIG RAB ONLY DAYS BEFORE, I DEDICATED MY GOAL TO HIM, AND ALSO OUR TITLE.”

What is the funniest excuse you have heard from a player missing training or a game?

“THERE HAVE BEEN THAT MANY OVER MY TIME. FROM WASHING MY HAIR, TO TURNING UP AT A DIFFERENT VENUE.”

Give us an in-sight into Stevie McCallum’s Management style?

“STEPHS GOT A HEART OF GOLD AND WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR THE TEAM, AND THE BOYS. HE IS NOT SCARED TO MAKE SUBS, DURING GAMES, EVEN, WHEN WE DONT AGREE WITH IT. WE TRUST HIM AND HE ALWAYS GETS THE RESULT, WHICH IS HIS DEFENCE AGAINST DISGRUNTLED PLAYERS.”

“OTHER MANAGERS I HAVE PLAYED UNDER HAVE HAD THE MENTALITY “IT’S OK TO LOSE.”

“STEPH ONLY KNOWS ONE WAY TO WIN AND THATS WIN, A MENTALITY HE INSTILLS IN ALL HIS PLAYERS, EVEN MY OWN ATTITUDE IS 100% NOTHING ELSE WILL DO, AND I AM NOW ENJOYING BEING PART OF A TITLE WINNING TEAM, AND WANT MORE.”

“ON THE PITCH AS WE ALL TRUST EACH OTHER, AND WE HAVE NO WEAK LINKS, AND WE FEAR NO-ONE, AS LONG AS STEPHS BESIDE US GUIDING US AND SUPPORTING US.”

“WE GIVE EVERYTHING ON THE PARK FOR HIM, AND WE WIN AS A TEAM, AND WE LOSE AS A TEAM.”
