As the Central Scottish AFL attempt to play out the 2019-2020 season, the latest instalment was a Top of the Table clash between Harestanes and St Patricks FP at Merkland Astro. Both sides went hell for leather under the floodlights to gain 3 valuable points, but in the end the teams had to. settle with a 1-1 draw. Best described as a game of two halves, a rampant home side had the better of the first period and deserved their lead after some 35 minutes.

However, St Pats surged forward in the second half and got a deserved equaliser in the 68th minute, when McColl found the spot, when the ball fell kindly into his path inside the 18-yard box. Regardless of the result, it was a good watch with all the combatants giving their best in what was a competitive and exciting encounter, which makes the recent decision of the Sottish Government and Sports Scotland even more disappointing.
The Hares stay on top with the luxury of more goals scored counting (goal difference the same), though the visitors have a game in hand.
