Sunday League Clubs Register Record-Breaking Appeal

Scottish Amateur Football can be proud of another tremendous achievement in a year dominated by Covid-19 and it comes in the shape of great involvement with the GDSFC.

Today League Secretary Nim Roy revealed “Just to let you know we have our final gifts all bagged up and on their way to Glasgow Spirit of Christmas, and to forever homes with the children – we have managed to make up an amazing 100 GIFT BAGS!!!”

“We are absolutely delighted with collections again this year, with us surpassing last years total (50), but what makes it more phenomenal is we totally understand how much of a challenging year it has been for everyone, and certainly at this time of year also, but for the GDSFC Community to come together and donate so much.”

“It really is phenomenal and this Charity in particular as it’s all about the children and giving them that magical Christmas. It makes me so proud to be a part of this League, GDSFC is the place where kindness matters and well and truly have Charity at heart of everything we do.”

“I would like to say a massive thank- you to the following teams for their support with Glasgow Spirit of Christmas collections – Atlantic Quay, Glasgow Irish, Kelvindale AFC, Pollokshields United, Strathclyde United and Woodlands FC, without them this would not have been possible.”

“We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and hope everyone stays safe and well. Hopefully, see you all soon at a GDSFC match in 2021.”
