Famous City-Based Pub Welcomes Sunday League Club

Depending on which Tier-restricted area you reside in the sight of a drinking establishment being open to serve customers over a lengthy period of time looks a long way off – and that is why Glasgow Irish FC Manager Paul Mulgrew has strongly praised MALONES GLASGOW for supporting them with sponsorship in a season when a competitive football has yet to be kicked.

The famous city-based pub came on board with new home and away kits for the 2020-2021 campaign, but don’t get the idea that Malones’ involvement stops there.

Paul told me “We have been welcomed there after each home and away fixture, where they put food on for us, and offer a great place for the squad to bond.”

“The players use the venue socially as do the families of our team, so it is relationship that serves both parties very well.”

“Our Annual Trophy in Pre-Season versus Edinburgh Harps sees us travel to the Capital, where we are also welcomed back to Malones (Edinburgh) for hospitality after the fixture. It’s a sponsor we are very grateful of, and one we hope to have a lasting relationship with.”

“On both our home and away kits for the past few years we have proudly displayed our HELP THE HOMELESS GLASGOW Logo, which is unique to our strips. Each year, we donate £5 from each replica strip sale, and the club enhances the end figure with a further donation from our own funds. We also try and promote this hard- working and extremely worthwhile Charitable cause.”

“The aim every season is to further our efforts in this respect as we do consider ourselves very fortunate to have such a big support, and look to tap into this in order to help anyone in a vulnerable social situation.”

“Again, we hope to have a long-lasting connection with HTHG.”

Thank-you to Paul Mulgrew for allowing us to display the logos of MALONES GLASGOW and HELP THE HOMELESS GLASGOW.
