Finnart Organise Month- Long Charity Project For MENSELF+

Finnart AFC are the latest Amateur set-up to undertake a major Charity Project running right through this month. The Bridgeton-club have always been heavily involved with acts of kindness to others (young or old) less fortunate than themselves.

Manager Brian Blair revealed: “We are going to be starting a 5km everyday in December, with players and coaches, going to get at least 750km, which I’ve set up with a Strava running group to get everyone to register their time and distance covered each day.”

“The charity we are going to help is MENSELF+ MENSELF + exists to Help Men Become Better Men, and they achieve this through the delivery of their MOT 4 MEN programme, Men’s Groups, Walking Groups, Keep Fit and Walking Football activities , and Self Development Workshops. Our activities are designed to tackle and challenge the male psyche to encourage men to nurture Self Efficiency, to live life fully.”

“We have set up a JUST GIVING PAGE, any donation however little would be greatly appreciated.”

“We are also taking on this challenge to help raise funds for Finnart Football pitch , which with help from the Council and Glasgow Life,. we are looking to gain a 25- year lease to help with the development of our club.”

“This is the challenge I’ve set the boys with no football to play, and everyone feeling it hard without football, so I thought help out charity and give the boys a challenge to push themselves.”

“I will also be hoping to post most days small videos regarding how we are doing with it.”
