Rhu Fightback Shocks Rothesay Hosts

Goals Gordon Brodie and Jack McLaughlan completed a stunning fightback from Rhu Amateur Football Club in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Rothesay Brandanes.

The hosts must have thought they were on their way to a good afternoon friendly win until Rhu responded brilliantly before the end.

Elsewhere, I hear three games went ahead in the North Region. Kemnay Amateurs lost 4-1 at Tarves. Apart from 10-15 minute spells either side of the half-time whistle. Kemnay, whose goal came from Luke Mackie,. gave a very good account of themselves against strong Premier opposition. Plenty of positives moving forward!

Grammar FP’s defeated Continental 7-1. St Marnans FC beat Monymusk 2-0. A lovely finish from Paterson broke the deadlock and McDonald lashed home their second with a brilliant free-kick.
