Renfrew Rovers Player-Manager Scott Perry has signed for St Anthony in the new West of Scotland League Conference C following a successful trial period.
The Govan move allows the experienced goalkeeper to resume playing amidst a shutdown for Amateur football clubs, but he admitted “I just wish we could get our game back. I do feel for all the Amateurs, plus guys in my Sunday team who are frustrated with the whole thing.”
“I have been involved in three Ants games. That was a hard one there on Saturday against East Kilbride FC (Lowland League leaders), but we played well.”
“We have taken two or three of the St Anthony Under-20s Development into the squad and they have done really well.”
With a new management pairing in place, Scott reckons it is building job moving forward for the Govan lads wearing green and white.
He added “The East Kilbride performance was really solid. If we can continue like that we will be fine.”
