Around The Amateur Football Scene (25/11/2020)

Tom Scott has a midweek look at news from around clubs and at league level.

SPARK of Genius Central Scottish AFL are actively looking for new clubs in season 2021-2022. I understand any interested parties should initially make contact with Mr George Dingwall.

A new name has emerged from the East Region…DALKEITH THISTLE AFC, who were known as Lothian Vale and win the Edinburgh East Division title last term. Dalkeith will be playing under the club’s Community banner, which brings with the move a constant home park (they can help maintain), dressing rooms, and a Hub once current restrictions are lifted.

Talking about restrictions, Midlothian clubs were expecting a move down into Tier-2, but the Government have booted that idea into touch and they remain in Tier-3. Bang goes the prospect of a floodlight training session, and organising a couple of friendlies!

Stewarton United have 31 people remaining in their “Last Man Standing” competition.

Netherton AFC have a LMS back this week! It is £10 a go and half the prize goes to the winner.

Ellon Thistle, from the Aberdeenshire AFA, have confirmed a Friendly against Middlefield Wasps this Saturday. Kick-off is 1.30pm.

Why not have YOUR CLUB featured here? It is easy! Contact Tom with your details through our usual communication channels. Don’t forget to include your full name and club. Also a contact number or email address.
