Newmains Hammers AFC have confirmed the next two weekends will help them with their campaign to support a local Food Bank and in doing so offer help to anyone struggling through Covid-19.
I understand officials have been stunned by the response that has already resulted from Twitter announcements and Declan Hughes kindly took a breather from the campaign to outline their forward-planning strategy.
He said “We have a Team Account and details can be given through that. Food can also be organised over the next two weekends when I will be able to collect, or they can be dropped off.”
“More information or questions can be put through the Newmains Hammers Twitter Page.”
“The deadline we have set is 4th December, with donations to be made no later than that weekend. Right now, we have £290 in, and have agreed we want to reach a target of £500 anything over that is a bonus and more!”
To give a balanced pack to families, Newmains Hammers have formulated a detailed list of items which includes UHL Long Life Milk, Tinned Meat, Tinned Potatoes, Long Grain Rice, and Small Jars of Coffee.
Thanks to everyone who has already pledged their generous support.
