Writer Tom Scott takes a weekend look at some news from around Amateur Football. Great to hear of another good young talent being given the opportunity to test himself against experienced opponents. E.K. Thistle Colts centre-back Anthony Kerr played 90 minutes for the Show Park Jags against Ashfield. He kept his place in the starting line-up for East Kilbride’s opening West of Scotland League clash under the lights against Yoker Athletic at Holm Park.
Terrific boost for Anthony and the Colts Management FC Dynamo Glasgow, who are sponsored by Clydebank Estate and Letting Agents again this season, are participating in a Hike up Ben Lomond to raise money for the Make A Child Smile Happy Campaign. They have also set-up a Just Giving Link Page. Dynamo players have agreed to participate on 28th November.
Peek-A-Boo Baby Boutique organised a Thunderball Bonus Ball for Steins Thistle Amateurs yesterday. I understand Peek-A-Boo are a local business and conduct the idea every week. Peek-A-Boo kindly sponsored Stein’s 50th anniversary shirt and in return Thistle officials try to promote their offers etc. Great partnership going on between them!

Oban Saints AFC have been able to organise friendlies due to less restrictions in their Health Board area.
On Saturday afternoon, Kyle Cooper hit the only goal of the game at Dunoon Amateurs.
Meanwhile, Gavin Forgrieve and Craig McEwan netted in a 2-0 victory against hosts Lochgilphead Red Star.
