Nim Roy has revealed putting GDSFC clubs back on the park playing competitive football remains his top priority.
Amid a multitude of league tasks including juggling with pre-planned fixtures. Nim told me: “It is now becoming worrying to think what kind of season we can all have. We will continue to fight the fight.”
“Teams have started online petitions and we have been emailing local MSP’s to see what support we can get.”
“I am totally behind the pandemic and problems it brings, but at the same time the long-term impact on people’s mental and physical well-being is being challenged without much proof that Amateur Football is a Covid risk.”
Meanwhile, as I revealed over the weekend, GDSFC will be supporting the Glasgow Spirit of Christmas Appeal for the second year running.
The 2019 initiative was brilliantly supported by. all clubs in membership.
