Shire Fixtures Hit By Postponements

October went out with a bang for clubs in the Perthshire Amateur Football League. Only three fixtures survived the weather a fortnight ago, while four games were given the go-ahead to start on Saturday. Division 1 table-toppers Letham followed up a 4-0 away win against Balmoral United by defeating Craigie 4-1.

Connor Galletly (2),. Gavin Smith and Player of the Match Sean Ferrie were on target.

St John’s, with a game less played eased their way into second-top spot by crushing Jeanfield Swift’s 7-2.

Luncarty made great use of a ground switch involving Letham Community and won 2-0.

Only one game in Division 2 was possible. Alyth defeated visitors Stanley 2-0.
