Waterlogged Pitch Robs Arbroath High Of Friendly Action

Heavy rain leading to a waterlogged surface at the Canniepairt brought about the postponement of a friendly between Tayport JFC and Arbroath HSFP first team. Arbroath were keen to keep playing after being handed a “free week” by the Midland Amateur League, but the overnight winds and torrential rain running through most of Scotland put paid to their best-laid plans!

Closer to home, and Arbroath HSFP A defeated Invergowrie A 5-0 a week after dropping points (1-1) at Newport A.

Broughty United A, who have a game in hand to the leaders, crushed visitors Invergowrie A 5-0.

Fifth-placed Arbroath HSFP B, who opened their season’s programme with a reversal against Morgan Academy FP A, now have points on the board after beating Arbroath Harp A 4-0.
