Kinross Give Kirkcaldy The Seven-Goal Blues

Kinross Colts Amateurs B team demolished visitors Kirkcaldy Blues 7-1 in the Kingdom of Fife AFL Division 1 on Saturday. Aside from bookings and double yellow cards,. there was plenty goalmouth action from around 7 minutes, when Cammy Farmer bulleted home a header.

Blues were back on level terms soon after,  but Paul Johnston restored home advantage and a half-time lead after 28 minutes.

Gavin Wardrop came off the bench to score (3-1) on 52 minutes, and two minutes Craig Lindsay added their fourth. Jake Dobbie, Gavin Wardrop ( his second of the game) and Dylan Murray piled on the agony to complete the Blues for Kirkcaldy!

Meanwhile, a serious injury to a Greig Park Rangers player saw the Kinross Colts A team fixture abandoned with the scoreline reading 1-1 around 63 minutes. Unfortunately,. I have not been able to establish the identity of the player or his subsequent condition from an official Club source, but we take this opportunity to wish him a speedy and successful recovery.

Michael Baldwin had opened the scoring after 29 minutes.
