Athletico In Pre-Season Signing Spree

Three defeats in pre-season games have not hampered Athletico AFC from pushing ahead with resigning players from last season’s Covid-19 curtailed campaign, and recruiting new talent.

Former Broxburn midfielder Calum Boner (22) has impressed in a month of training, while 23 year-old winger Tom Russell played at Cupar Hearts.

The Fife Sunday Amateur League club have resigned captain Jamie Brown and vice- captain Greg Hill. Daniel Howe, Matthew Woods, Alex McGlade, Ben Cook, Andrew Innes, Declan Moffat, Callum Campbell and Josh Boyle have also agreed to stay on for another campaign.

Athletico have been rotating their squad and putting plenty of minutes into each player during a run of games against Kincardine, Stenhousemuur Community and Lochore Castle.
