Colville Concentrate On Final Friendly Ahead Of League Games

Some Amateur Football League fixtures may be resuming in the West of Scotland this Saturday,  but the Colville Park squad of players will be asked to focus on a final warm-up game before stepping into the lion’s den on October 10.

Over the weekend Manager Kenny Henderson and his coaching staff will have taken a long hard look at their pre-season record to date -. one win and three odd-goal defeats littered with glaring individual errors.

Two new signings were confirmed minutes before their 4-3 reversal against Uddingston Anvil and one of them, ex-Kilsyth Rangers and Forth Wanderers striker Martin Janick, is likely to feature more prominently after a second half appearance on Saturday.

Said Kenny:  “We face a tough competitive start away against Garrowhill Thistle a week this Saturday, followed by the visit of BSC to Dalziel on October 17.”
