SSMAFL Executive Committee are looking into making some changes to their Championship divisions next season.

Currently with a total of 27 clubs in 2 divisions, the committee are consulting clubs on making a change to 3 more regionalised divisions to reduce travel when the covid-affected season starts.

This will help hopefully reduce risks of transmission and also cut costs of travel to help clubs.

“These measures will be vital in trying to ensure that we keep our players, club officials and referees as safe as possible when footy returns, ” said SSMAFL President Andy Bryant.
